Overview:
The Senior Project Officer is responsible for leading and coordinating a range of less complex and/or sensitive projects relating to the Capital Works Program.
Within this context, the role:
Undertakes reporting, document control, issue resolution and escalation activities relating to the Capital Works Program.
Provides support to the DHW Senior Project Managers on higher value / complexity projects.
Monitors, evaluates and reports on the status of project deliverables / actions against project objectives defined at commencement to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are met.
Applies skills and experience in the authoring and preparation of high-level project plans, submissions, policy, briefings and responses to Ministerial or Office of the Chief Executive requests in accordance with government legislation and guidelines.
Ensures procurement processes comply with DHW specified delegations, policies, standards and procedures.
Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
