Senior Project Manager Strategic Vendor Relations
Job Description
In this role, you will be pivotal in managing vendor relations and structuring bank contracts with a strategic focus. Your experience in banking and the financial industry will enable you to effectively negotiate vendor contracts and act as a trusted advisor to internal business partners, supporting both short and long-term road maps.
It’s essential to maintain a strong knowledge of market trends to structure a variety of contract types, including software, services, staffing, consulting, and outsourcing. You may also lead internal, ad-hoc sourcing projects as necessary.
Responsibilities
• Structure and negotiate vendor contracts critical to the Bank’s strategy.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal business partners, supporting road maps.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends for effective negotiations.
• Manage business support, sourcing, contract structuring, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) on contract matters.
• Lead projects related to strategic Bank initiatives involving multiple vendors, providing analysis, action plans, and cost containment strategies.
• Manage enterprise vendor relationships, establishing ongoing requirements and action plans for cost containment and vendor road mapping.
Requirements
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, vendor relations, and banking contracts.
• Strong background in the banking and financial industry.
