Senior Project Manager — Digital Marketing Agency (Web SEO Multi-Client)
Job Description
## About O8
O8 is a Minneapolis-based digital marketing agency serving B2B companies in healthcare, higher ed, SaaS, and professional services. We run sprint-based engagements covering web design/development, SEO, paid media, content marketing, and marketing automation.
We're scaling fast — two enterprise clients are onboarding in June and we need a seasoned project manager who can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.
## What You'll Own
- Full PM ownership of 2–4 active client engagements simultaneously
- Kickoffs, sprint planning, milestone tracking, and client status updates
- Managing cross-functional delivery teams (developers, designers, SEO, paid media, content)
- Budget tracking and scope management — flagging when projects are at risk
- Internal task coordination across Slack, ClickUp, and Harvest
- Client-facing communication: weekly updates, escalations, retrospectives
- Keeping O8's delivery quality high even when juggling parallel workstreams
## You're a Fit If You Have
- 4+ years as a Project Manager at a digital marketing or web agency
- Experience managing website builds (Drupal, WordPress), SEO, paid media, and content simultaneously
- Strong client communication skills — you can keep a CFO calm and a dev team on track in the same day
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving scopes
- Excellent async communication (US overlap required — CT/ET strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with tools: ClickUp, Slack, Harvest, Google Workspace
## Nice to Have
- Experience with healthcare or higher ed clients
- HubSpot or marketing automation project experience
- Familiarity with Upsun/Platform.sh or similar hosting environments
- PMP or equivalent certification
## Engagement Details
- Contract / Freelance (Upwork)
- ~20–30 hrs/week to start, scaling with pipeline
- Strong US hours overlap required (CT/ET preferred)
- Rate: $45–$70/hr depending on experience

3. What project management tools have you used? Which do you prefer and why?
4. What's your typical availability and preferred hourly rate?
