Westland Milk Products, part of the Yili Oceania group, is seeking a Senior Product Development Specialist - Butter & Blends to lead innovation across our butter, AMF, and dairy fat portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, project leadership, and customer-focused innovation in a role that spans the full product lifecycle, from concept through to commercialisation.
What you'll be doing:
Leading product development and innovation projects across butter and blend categories.
Driving pilot-to-plant scale-up and commercial trials.
Optimising fat functionality, texture, flavour, and product performance.
Partnering with customers, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop market-leading solutions.
Supporting continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and quality enhancement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Food Engineering, or a related discipline.
7+ years' experience in dairy product development, dairy fats, butter, blends, or related categories.
Strong expertise in butter processing, fat functionality, formulation, and commercialisation.
Proven project management skills and the ability to influence across cross-functional teams.
A passion for innovation and delivering value for customers.
