The opportunity
QBE Insurance is currently looking for a Senior People Analyst to augment the team as we broaden our service offering. This is an exciting opportunity to support the continuing evolution of our people analytics capability, delivering meaningful insights that drive better decision-making and support a more data-driven, forward-looking People function.
Your new role
In this role, you will partner closely with stakeholders across People and the broader business to deliver high quality and timely data along with insight-led analysis. You’ll combine strong technical expertise with a commercial mindset, using data to uncover trends, improve processes and influence workforce decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Using advanced SQL to extract, transform and analyse workforce data, delivering actionable insights to People leaders and key stakeholders
Partnering with People Business Partners and the business to identify trends, patterns and opportunities to support evidence-based decision-making
Developing and delivering reporting and dashboards (both standard and ad-hoc) across areas such as workforce profile, leave and diversity metrics
Supporting the evolution of a modern, scalable analytics environment, including process improvement and automation opportunities
Maintaining strong data governance practices, ensuring data quality, privacy and compliance standards are upheld
Collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes, efficiency and overall data capability across the People function

About you
We’re looking for a strong People Analyst who is both technically capable and commercially minded. You’ll be comfortable working with complex datasets, partnering with stakeholders and translating data into meaningful insights that influence decision-making and support organisational change.
Key requirements:
Strong experience in People / HR analytics or a similar data-focused role
Advanced SQL capability, with experience working with large and complex datasets
Experience delivering insights using tools such as Power BI, Excel and ideally Workday and Alteryx
Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across People and the wider business
Strong appreciation of data governance, data quality and risk considerations
