Job Description
An automobile senior mechanic's responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing complex maintenance, mentoring junior mechanics, and managing team operations. Key duties also involve overseeing the quality of work, maintaining detailed records, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with other departments to minimize equipment downtime. Technical and repair duties
• Perform complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems on various vehicles, including gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuel models.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and major tune-ups.
• Repair and replace a wide variety of components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment, including computerized systems, to identify and resolve malfunctions.
• Handle custom fabrication and modification as needed.
Leadership and management duties
• Lead and mentor junior mechanics, apprentices, and other team members, providing guidance and training on technical skills and best practices.
• Oversee the scheduling and prioritization of maintenance activities.
• Ensure the quality of repairs and maintenance performed by the team.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate schedules and minimize equipment downtime.
• Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Administrative and safety duties
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Manage inventory and initiate purchase orders for necessary supplies.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and training.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15, ₹22,000.00 per month
