Senior Logistics Manager / Head of Logistics

As a Senior Manager Logistics at INA Solar (Insolation Energy Limited), your role involves overseeing and managing end-to-end logistics operations, including both domestic transportation and import logistics. Your responsibilities include:

- Planning and managing transportation of raw materials and finished goods across India
- Optimizing routes, freight costs, and delivery timelines
- Coordinating with transporters, warehouses, and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring timely dispatches to project sites and customers

For import and international logistics, your duties will include:

- Handling end-to-end import operations including documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding
- Coordinating with international suppliers, CHA (Custom House Agents), and shipping lines
- Tracking shipments and ensuring timely delivery from port to plant/warehouse
- Developing and managing relationships with logistics service providers
- Negotiating freight rates and contracts for cost efficiency

Other key responsibilities include:

- Working closely with procurement, production, and project teams
- Ensuring all logistics activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate documentation for imports, exports, and domestic shipments
- Identifying opportunities to reduce logistics costs and improve efficiency
- Implementing best practices in supply chain and logistics management
- Leading and mentoring the logistics team
- Ensuring proper workload distribution and performance tracking

To qualify for this role, you should have:

- 811 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export operations
- Strong experience in both domestic logistics and import logistics (mandatory)
- Experience in manufacturing, EPC, or solar/renewable industry preferred
- Good knowledge of customs regulations, shipping processes, and documentation
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
