Job Title: Company Secretary / Legal Executive
Location: Andheri East, Mumbai
Experience Required: Minimum 3 Years
Job Type: Full-Time | Work From Office
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Company Secretary / Legal Executive to join our legal and compliance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in handling corporate legal matters, vendor and employee agreements, and statutory compliance within a corporate environment. This role demands high attention to detail, strong drafting skills, and the ability to manage time-sensitive documentation and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and manage Vendor Agreements, Retainer Contracts, and Third-party Service Agreements
• Handle Employee-related legal documentation and address any labour law-related compliance matters
• Prepare and renew Rental Agreements and ensure all property-related documentation is compliant and up-to-date
• Ensure timely filings and secretarial compliance as per the Companies Act, 2013
• Coordinate with external legal counsel for specific litigation or advisory matters when required
• Maintain and update records related to ROC filings, board resolutions, and statutory registers
• Interpret legal clauses in contracts and mitigate associated risks for the organization
• Support the internal audit process from a legal and compliance standpoint
• Track contract renewal timelines and regulatory due dates, ensuring timely action
• Assist in creating internal policies and legal templates aligned with business needs
Key Requirements:
• Qualified Company Secretary (CS) – Membership of ICSI is preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM) is an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a legal/compliance role within corporate sector
• Strong knowledge of Companies Act, Contract Act, Labour Laws, and related statutes
• Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and compliance management
• Excellent communication, legal interpretation, and documentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with legal documentation software/tools
Preferred Candidate:
• Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period
• Experience working in mid to large-scale companies with exposure to cross-functional departments
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹287,436.6+ - ₹1,000,000.00 per year

Profile with both litigation and nonlitigation work
Key responsibilities:
1. Conducting Legal proceedings at Lower Courts and Tribunal which are filed by and against the Company, its Associate Companies, other group Companies/partners, etc.
2. Appearing before Hon'ble Bombay High Court in proceedings filed by and against the Company its Associate Companies and other group Companies/partners etc., and briefing Senior Advocates/Counsels in the matter.
3. Coordinating with Law Firms for matters at the Supreme Court of India which are filed by and against the Company its Associate Companies and other group Companies/partners etc.
4. Instructing Law Firms on the legal proceedings filed by and against the Company its Associate Companies and other group Companies/partners etc., and providing details instructions to concerned Law Firms with synopsis along with relevant documents.
5. Drafting and vetting all Legal Documents, Agreements, Letters, etc., on behalf of the Company, its Associate Companies, other group Companies/partners, etc.
6. Issuing Title Certificate of properties, Notices, replies, and rejoinders as per instructions of Management of the Company its Associate Companies, and other group Companies/partners, etc.
7. Providing Legal advice to the Management of the Company its Associate Companies and other group Companies/partners etc., on relevant Legal issues that arise during day-to-day affairs.
Executing any/all other legal and/or advisory work assigned by the Company, its Associate Companies, other group Companies/partners, etc., with no time restrictions.
