Role Description The Senior Hardware Engineer will work on-site in Dehradun in a full-time capacity, leading the design, development, and optimization of hardware for Sunfox’s cardiac diagnostic devices. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing circuit designs, selecting and validating electronic components, and overseeing hardware prototyping and testing to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with medical device standards. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including firmware, software, and clinical stakeholders, to integrate hardware with system architecture and refine product features. The engineer will diagnose and resolve hardware issues, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of existing products and new hardware platforms. This position also supports scaling production, improving manufacturability, and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Hardware Development and Electronics Hardware Design.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Circuit Design and Computer Hardware.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of general Hardware principles for medical or embedded devices.
• Experience with PCB design tools, schematic capture, and layout software.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Experience in hardware validation, testing, and troubleshooting using standard lab equipment.
• Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards relevant to medical devices is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
