We are Looking for:
A Senior Furniture & Accessories Designer with artistic flair and an eye for details with excellent interpersonal skills. An individual who has experience of material handling and can liaise with buying house, International buyers, leading Interior Designers and Architects across India and internationally and is capable of understanding their Inspiration, bespoke project requirements, resulting in high quality designs to suit client’s expectation. Primary Role & Responsibilities:
• To undertake furniture and accessories design projects from concept to completion. Interpret the buyer's needs and translate them into plan.
• To create mood boards with surface and material options and design concepts for projects, buying agencies and buyer's.
• Innovate using multi-material to create concepts and unique products that break the boundaries of conceptual design.
• Collaborate with craftspeople & artisans to understand their strengths and innovate with products using the capabilities of Orvi’s Craftspeople.
• Research on new craft techniques, materials, and décor concepts (global & national trends), that would help in positioning Orvi as a unique brand globally.
• Research on décor brands globally to identify the industry gap, allowing Orvi to identify areas for growth & development.
• Work to a timeline for completion of all projects and adhere to the deadlines.
• Meeting with clients and buying agencies to understand concept and theme better and take detailed notes to put that knowledge in use while drawing a sketch.
• Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selection, furnishings and fixtures for clients.
• Provide follow-up support to customers while developing productive and effective business relationships with them.
• Cross-collaborate with other departments including sales, marketing & graphic design to help serve the customers with greater ease.
Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in design /Furniture Design.
• Minimum 7 year’s experience of Design and Material Handling.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D Max, Sketch Up, CorelDraw.
• Expertise in Hand drawing, colour, lighting, installations etc.
• Experience in new product development.
• Impressive portfolio of previous work experiences and skills.

• Confident, Positive, enthusiastic, creative, artistic and imaginative.
• Should be able to lead, guide & encourage the team and ability to take responsibilities.
• Flexible to travel on-site to meet customers and to see space(s).
• Excellent professional written & verbal communication, strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in tight timeframes managing several projects at once. Self-motivated and ability to participate and facilitates.
