To help us with this, we are searching for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our team for six months
What you'll be busy with:
This role works with finance leads and finance subject matter experts, business and technical leads to deliver quality outcomes for members and for the Finance team through the Future Bank programme (our exciting banking system upgrade project). The senior analyst continually looks for process and reporting improvements for the Finance team to help create a simple, modern and trusted Finance function.
Key functions of the role include:
Works with Finance Leads and subject matter experts to deliver project sprint and increment deliverables to a high quality within agreed timeframes.
Works closely with the Data and Reporting stream to design and build a modern finance reporting environment.
Owns and drives all Future Bank deliverables assigned to them (likely to include elements of regulatory and management reporting, securitisation reporting and process, internal account rationalisation and design, product accounting and bank account reconciliation process).
Ensures SBS continues to meet its regulatory obligations by designing and implementing rigorous testing of reports and processes delivered.
What you'll bring:
Tertiary qualification in an accounting, financial or data focused discipline.
In depth knowledge of the finance function developed through involvement in management, statutory and regulatory reporting.
Strong systems skills and experience in maintaining or implementing reporting, planning systems or general ledger systems.
Experience in the finance team of a bank or regulated financial services entity.
Experience in regulatory reporting for a financial institution.
Experience with reporting from large data sources using Power BI, Power Query or similar reporting tools.
Experience delivering projects and change.
This role is full time, fixed term for 6 months, with hours of work of 8.30am - 5.00pm. This role is based in head office, Invercargill
