Job Opportunity: Fashion, Textiles and Art Lecturer

This exciting role involves teaching and inspiring learners across Levels 2 and 3 on a range of creative programmes.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in fashion and textile design, along with an ability to engage students through innovative teaching practices and contemporary industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver engaging lessons in fashion, textiles, and art disciplines
• Prepare high-quality schemes of work and learning resources
• Support students through the full learner journey, including induction, reviews, and progression planning
• Embed Functional Skills and digital learning tools within the curriculum
• Participate in course coordination, team meetings, quality reviews, and performance management activities
• Engage in student recruitment, open evenings, and promotional events
• Uphold high standards in safeguarding, equality, and inclusion across all aspects of teaching and student support
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of HND in a relevant subject (Fashion, Textiles, or Art Design)
• GCSE (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths (or willingness to achieve)
• Experience teaching Fashion and Textiles up to Level 3, and Art Design up to Level 2
• Strong practical expertise in areas such as research, design sourcing, fabric manipulation, and textiles
