The Senior Developer will lead end-to-end international development of utility-scale and C&I Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and hybrid energy projects, with increasing exposure to advanced and innovative applications such as data centers, microgrids, and high-reliability power systems. This role requires a rare blend of hands-on technical modeling, consulting-grade analysis, and development leadership, supporting projects from conceptual feasibility through financial close and pre-construction across multiple global markets.Core Responsibilities
Project Development & Feasibility
Lead feasibility and early-stage development of international solar PV, BESS, and hybrid projects
Perform and oversee:
Site screening and land feasibility
Grid interconnection strategy and capacity assessment
Regulatory, permitting, and environmental pathway evaluation
Develop bankable project concepts aligned with utility, merchant, and corporate offtake structures.Hands-On Technical Modeling & Energy Yield Analysis
Perform hands-on energy modeling and system analysis using industry-standard tools:
PVsyst– utility-scale solar energy yield, loss analysis, and bankability studies
Helioscope– early-stage layout optimization, shading, and DC/AC design
ETB (Energy Toolbase)– solar + storage dispatch modeling, tariff analysis, and value stacking
HOMER– hybrid systems, microgrids, and techno-economic optimization
Independently develop and review:
Production estimates and degradation assumptions
BESS sizing, duration, and dispatch strategies
Sensitivity analyses for grid, tariff, and operational scenarios
Translate modeling outputs into investment-grade assumptions for financial models and client deliverablesBESS, Hybrid & Advanced Energy Systems Leadership
Lead development of standalone and co-located BESS projects, including:
Capacity and duration optimization
Degradation, augmentation, and lifecycle planning
Dispatch logic for grid services, peak shaving, and reliability
Support advanced applications, including:
Data center power solutions and high-availability energy systems
Microgrids and islanded operations
Solar + Storage + Grid + Backup hybrid architectures
Evaluate emerging technologies and innovative use cases that enhance reliability, flexibility, and economicsInternational Market, Grid & Regulatory Analysis
Support projects across multiple international markets (US, Europe, Middle East, APAC, LATAM)
Analyze:
Grid codes, interconnection standards, and utility requirements
Market design (capacity markets, ancillary services, merchant vs contracted)
Renewable energy policies, incentives, and tariff structures
Convert regulatory complexity into actionable development and modeling strategiesConsulting & Advisory Engagements
Deliver consulting-grade advisory services including:
Technical due diligence and owner’s engineering
RFP and tender preparation (utilities, IPPs, data centers, infrastructure clients)
Feasibility studies and bankability assessments
Prepare client-ready deliverables:
Feasibility and desktop studies
Development roadmaps
Investment and credit committee memoranda
Technical assumptions for financial models
Interface directly with clients, utilities, EPCs, OEMs, investors, and lendersCross-Functional Leadership & Mentorship
Coordinate with internal teams:
Engineering
Environmental & permitting
Commercial & finance
Manage and mentor junior engineers, analysts, and consultants
Lead external stakeholders including utilities, regulators, EPCs, and advisorsEducation Requirements
M. Tech / M. S. in Energy, Renewable Energy, Electrical / Power Systems, or related field or MBA with specialization in Energy, Infrastructure, or SustainabilityTechnical Skills and Experience

Understanding of solar energy systems and their integration into existing infrastructure.Experience
6+ years of experience in international solar PV, BESS, and hybrid project development
3+ years of experience in consulting / advisory / owner’s engineer roles
Demonstrated hands-on technical and commercial leadership across early- to mid-stage development
Proven ability to independently perform and review:
Energy yield studies
Storage dispatch modelling
Hybrid system optimizationPreferred Experience
Direct experience with utility-scale and C&I BESS projects
Exposure to data center energy infrastructure or high-reliability power systems
Experience working on international utility RFPs and grid-reliability procurements
Familiarity with ISO/RTO markets (PJM, ERCOT, CAISO, ISO-NE, etc.)
Background in global consulting firms or energy advisory practicesCore Skills & Competencies
