Our client are looking for a Senior Design Engineer with experience of Structural Steel and Tekla to join their growing team of engineers. The appointed Senior Design Engineer will have at least five years experience in a design role and be familiar with structural steel. The appointed Senior Design Engineer will have good knowledge of general assembly and production drawings and excellent 3D CAD skills and Tekla 3D knowledge.

Senior Design Engineer - Skills and Experience - Structural Steel, Tekla 3D, CAD, Mechanical Engineering, Construction

- Minimum 5 years' experience working in a design based role
- Have experience of new product development (NPD), new product introduction (NPI) and project management
- Good working knowledge of steel manufacturing processes
- Experience of stress / strain calculations and FEA preferred

- Conceiving, designing, developing and handing over new designs from concept to production in support of business development strategy
- Developing improvements to existing designs
