Senior Dental Receptionist/ Dental office manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive dental office experience, and proficiency with practice management software Tracker. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining a smooth patient experience. The Dental Office Manager will play a vital role in fostering an efficient, professional, and welcoming environment for both staff and patients.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily office operations, including appointment scheduling, billing, and patient records management
Oversee human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
Manage electronic medical records systems and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care and documentation
Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management to ensure practice profitability
Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, OSHA standards, and infection control protocols
Support patient relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Collaborate with dental providers to optimize workflow and patient care delivery
Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
Qualifications
Proven experience in a dental office setting or medical office environment with supervisory responsibilities
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
Strong understanding of electronic medical records systems and healthcare documentation standards
Knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices, and healthcare regulations
Experience in human resources management including hiring, training, and staff supervision
Background in budgeting, financial management, or practice administration is preferred
Previous hospital or nursing experience related to acute care is a plus but not required
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, patients, and external vendors
