Job Description
Permanent Part-Time $75,800 to $80,600 per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation
The Town of Bassendean is a small local government that sits along the Derbarl Yerrigan on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. About the team
The Town’s Corporate Services directorate covers a broad portfolio including finance and rating and customer services, information management and technology, procurement and children’s services (long day care centres). We actively collaborate with stakeholders to deliver exceptional services, sound financial management and good governance.
About the role
The role will give the successful applicant an opportunity to:
Provide professional, friendly, courteous, efficient and quality customer service and administrative support that promotes the feeling of wellbeing of the community.
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the Town’s services and activities to provide effective customer service.
Process Orders and Requisitions, BCITF, BSL and bond refund requests.
Guiding Customer Service Officers with complex and difficult enquiries
and applications.
Supervision of Customer Service Officers in the absence of Customer Services Team Leader.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
High level of customer service skills and experience in a service environment dealing with the public.
Knowledge of general office procedures and the operation of office equipment.
A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits
This part-time, permanent position attracts an annual salary of $75,800 to $80,600 (pro-rata) plus superannuation.
The Town also offers up to 4% additional superannuation (conditions apply), 17.5% leave loading, free parking, ongoing training and professional development, and up to two additional leave days per calendar year.
Working Hours
This is a part-time position working 35 hours per fortnight, worked over 5 days.
The Town of Bassendean supports employees having access to flexible working arrangements to help them manage work and life responsibilities. As flexibility means different things to different people, the Town has a range of flexibility options that may be negotiated.
