Job Description
Job role: Senior Copywriter
Duration: Full time
Location: Mumbai HQ
Experience: 4-8 Years
Job Responsibilities
• Understand The Hosteller products, specifications, facilities & amenities etc.
• Understand the customer life cycle of the brand
• Write copy for a variety of media including social, print, video, and online
• Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
• Write high-engagement social media content that reflects our brand’s voice
• Collaborate with departments to develop a variety of content marketing materials
• Produce error-free content that adheres to the company’s style guidelines
• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
• Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders
• Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere
• Manage copywriting department
• Edit and fact-check pieces of content generated by colleagues (e.g. junior copywriters)
• Use SEO practices to optimize articles and increase visibility
• Shape language and tone used in all marketing materials and media
Qualifications
• Experience in marketing and communications
• Demonstrated success in managing a business social media presence
• Experience in producing copy for digital, print and broadcast channels
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronyms
• Solid understanding of SEO concepts preferred
• Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
• Comfortable working independently with little direction under deadlines
