Dopamina Restaurant is an exciting new fine dining venue located in the heart of downtown Toronto, committed to delivering an exceptional upscale experience through our innovative Mediterranean cuisine with Asian influences. We are looking for a skilled Senior Cook /Junior Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team under the guidance of our Michelin Star Head Chef.
Summary
This position is ideal for a driven and highly skilled cook eager to contribute to our menu development for an innovative contemporary Asian inspired fine dining. As we prepare for our seasonal menu, you will work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to refine the menu. You will be responsible for managing your station and ensuring smooth daily operations, collaborating with both BOH and FOH teams to execute our restaurant’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in menu planning and execution.
- Manage and optimize your station's layout and workflow.
- Keep stations clean and managing own station inventory level.
- Enhancing and sharpening culinary techniques.
- Demonstrate a passion for innovative culinary techniques.
- Develop and mentor new team members, focusing on their growth and development.
- Exhibit strong leadership by fostering a positive and engaging work environment, providing guidance to team members, and maintaining professionalism in team - management.
- Maintain a basic understanding of financial aspects, including food and labor cost management, menu costing, and productivity controls.
- Oversee kitchen inventory and assist with ordering to ensure efficient operations.
- Implement training programs to elevate the skills of the kitchen team.
- Collaborate with FOH management and staff to ensure our vision is realized in delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
