Title: Senior Contracts Administrator
Sector: Heavy Industry (Mining, Energy, Infrastructure)
Location: Based in Calgary, Alberta (with travel to project sites required)
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Award Strategy: Developing project-specific contract templates and strategies, pre-qualifying bidders, and managing the RFP process.
Negotiation & Award: Leading commercial negotiations with bidders and submitting final award recommendations to clients or project teams.
Post-Award Management: Monitoring subcontractor performance against schedules, approving progress payments, and managing the change order process.
Governance: Ensuring contract compliance, resolving invoicing issues, and maintaining auditable contract files.
Leadership: Mentoring junior members of the contracts team and supporting the Contracts Manager.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 10–15+ years of contracts management experience, specifically within EPC/EPCM, mining, or heavy industry environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or Business Law.
Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Canadian Bidding Law is highly preferred.
Skills: Expertise in negotiation, risk mitigation, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
