Location – Parramatta
Employment type – Ongoing Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Grade – Clerk Grade 9/10
Salary – $129,464 pa - $142,665 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Make a meaningful impact protecting the rights and wellbeing of older people and adults with disability. You will manage complex, high-risk reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, applying a trauma-informed, rights-based approach. Working collaboratively, you’ll lead casework, support triage and assessment, and ensure timely, appropriate, and lawful outcomes.
What you’ll do
As part of the Ageing and Disability Commission, you will:
Manage a high-volume caseload of complex, sensitive, and high-risk matters
Prioritise and progress cases using a trauma-informed approach
Support triage and assessment, including reviewing plans and risk levels
Provide guidance on case management and appropriate responses
Conduct joint home visits to assess safety, wellbeing, and capacity
Gather and analyse information to inform decisions
Engage with government, non-government, and community stakeholders
Contribute to community engagement and prevention initiatives
Apply legislation and information-gathering powers appropriately
Ensure decisions are lawful, fair, and aligned with policy
Maintain accurate and timely records in the Resolve system
You’ll lead casework and support informed, timely decision-making within a legislative framework, working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on positive community outcomes.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience managing complex casework with vulnerable clients
Strong risk assessment and sound judgement in high-pressure situations
Knowledge of trauma-informed and rights-based practices
Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong attention to detail and record management capability
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Commitment to ethical practice and positive client outcomes
