Senior Character Animator (VFX) - Creature & Facial Animation -Remote (Australia or New Zealand)
Live-Action Feature Film Immediate Start

We're working with a leading VFX studio on an exciting live-action feature and are looking for a Senior Character Animator with strong creature and facial animation experience to join the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project, bringing complex digital performances to life.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality character animation, with a particular focus on facial performance for a creature, ensuring believable, nuanced, and emotionally engaging results that integrate seamlessly into live-action plates.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-end character and creature animation for a live-action feature
Develop detailed and expressive facial animation performances
Collaborate closely with supervisors and leads to achieve creative direction
Work efficiently within a VFX pipeline and meet production deadlines
Contribute to shot problem-solving and performance refinement
Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Animator within VFX
Strong portfolio demonstrating creature work and facial animation
High level of proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g. Maya)
Excellent understanding of anatomy, weight, and performance
Experience working on live-action VFX projects
Strong communication and ability to work remotely within a team
Location & Eligibility
Open to candidates remote within Australia or New Zealand
Must have working rights in Australia or already be based there
Visa support may be considered for candidates currently in Australia
