Job Title : Senior Business Analyst – Accounting & Compliance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Accounting & Compliance with strong expertise in accounting, financial processes, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business and finance requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. The role involves close collaboration with finance, accounting, compliance, business, and technology teams to support system implementations, process improvements, UAT, and compliance-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and document accounting, financial reporting, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with finance, accounting, compliance, and technology stakeholders to understand business processes and identify gaps.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and automation across finance and accounting functions.
• Support ERP and financial system implementations, enhancements, integrations, and upgrades.
• Prepare detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, process documentation, business rules, and impact assessments.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating business functionality, and coordinating defect resolution.
• Collaborate with technical teams throughout the solution design, development, testing, deployment, and implementation lifecycle.
• Support regulatory and compliance initiatives by ensuring business and system requirements align with applicable financial standards, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze existing processes and systems to identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate discussions between business and technology teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and successfully implemented.
• Maintain clear documentation of requirements, process changes, decisions, and implementation impacts.
• Support post-implementation validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Requirements
• 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting and Financial Processes.
• Hands-on understanding of Financial Reporting, Audit, and Regulatory Compliance.
• Strong experience in Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering.
• Ability to create detailed Functional Specifications, User Stories, Business Rules, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Strong expertise in Process Mapping, Gap Analysis, and Impact Assessment.
• Experience with UAT, test scenario preparation, and business validation.
• Exposure to ERP and Finance Systems, including system implementations, enhancements, or integrations.
• Strong Stakeholder Management skills with the ability to work effectively with finance, business, compliance, and technology teams.
• Experience in Process Improvement and Business Process Optimization.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business/finance stakeholders and technical teams.
