About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer with a passion for defending professionals in civil and disciplinary claims to join their market leader’s Auckland office.
As a Senior Professional Indemnity Lawyer, you will primarily focus on professional indemnity and professional negligence cases. However, you will also have the opportunity to work across various other practice areas, enriching your professional experience.
Join this team is well resource with strong workflows – they are passionate about creating a supportive environment in which people can be the best version of themselves and achieve their career and personal goals.
What we’re looking for
An experienced qualified lawyer with at least 7 years’ PQE with a current NZ legal practicing certificate
A background in financial services PI would be ideal but isn’t essential. We are also open to candidates with some tax or financial services regulatory experience
Some trial experience, including disciplinary hearings, would be advantageous, but again is not a requirement
Friendly and proactive approach
Someone who works well in team-based environments
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and able to build rapport with clients
