Senior Accountant – US Accounting (Remote)
A leading global services firm seeks a Senior Accountant with in-depth expertise in US GAAP and hands-on experience managing accounting operations for US-based entities. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of overall experience in accounting, including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity, and 3+ years specifically handling US accounting standards and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities
Accounting Operations: Oversee end-to-end accounting operations for US-based clients/entities, including monthly/quarterly/annual closing under US GAAP.
Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of accountants; manage work allocation, performance reviews, and training.
Financial Reporting: Review and finalize financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with US accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Analysis and Insights: Prepare, review, and analyze P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and cross-functional teams for timely filings and audits.
Process Improvement: Support system implementations and automation initiatives to improve accounting efficiency.
Strategic Planning: Provide insights and analysis to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Experience and Skillset Required
Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent).
Education: Candidates with M.Com or MBA (Finance) and strong hands-on experience in US Accounting (minimum 3+ years) may also be considered.
Work Experience: 8+ years of overall experience in accounting and finance, with minimum 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role in the finance and accounting department.
US Accounting Experience: At least 3 years of direct experience in US Accounting/US GAAP.
Skills: Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and GAAP compliance.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms, and strong command of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage remote teams across time zones.
Working Schedule
Monday to Friday, flexible hours with overlap to US time zones as needed.
