Job Description
Looking to add a Senior Accountant to a shared services team. Experience working in a high-transaction volume environment is needed. 2 days a week in office.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
• Providing support in revenue recognition processes, including period-ending close activities, journal entries, and accruals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Promptly responding to provide additional support for preliminary month-end financial review and flux explanations at the request of management
• Assisting in monitoring and enforcing internal controls, identifying control gaps, and recommending improvements to mitigate risk
• Coordinating with other team members within department to ensure accuracy of the financial account balances
• Partnering with and being a liaison with other departments on analyzing financial balances, problem resolution, and strategic business initiatives
• Supporting ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests related to revenue, providing insights and recommendations to management
• Mentoring and developing staff with a collaborative approach to establish accountabilities, objectives, priorities, and monitoring/evaluating results
• Participating in special projects and performing other related duties as assigned
