SkyWater is looking for a motivated and dynamic Senior Accountant to join the team at a great client of ours in the Twin Cities. This is a high visibility role that offers a ton of growth opportunity, someone who is craving the opportunity to make an impact with their work and drive change would absolutely excel in this role.
Our client has been around for close to half a century and continues to be a strong leader in their industry. We placed two individuals within A&F leadership roles at this company, so the Senior Accountant will gain extremely valuable insights and learn best practices first hand on a daily basis.
We Are Looking For Qualified Candidates With
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of corporate or public accounting experience
• Experience and comfortability using SAP
• The ability to work a hybrid schedule, candidates must be local to Minneapolis- St Paul
Responsibilities
• Standardize, drive process improvements, and perform tasks related to month end close. This includes preparing and entering journals entries in the Company’s ERP System (SAP).
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations in accordance with Company Policy and as assigned by the Finance Department.
• Maintain and drive process improvements for reconciling accounts and ensuring integrity of the underlying financial transactions in an auditable and easily understood manner.
• Coordinate and monitor multiple state and local tax jurisdictions with a third-party tax firm, including providing various reports, reconciling general ledger against tax software, tracking filings and payments, and upholding compliance.
• Evaluate and maintain proper internal controls and related processes.
• Analyze results and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and relevant information at both a financial and business level.
• Assist in preparation of information for external audit activities.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements.
Desired Skills And Experience
• Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field
• Three years of corporate or public accounting or similar experience
• Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Collaborative team player with positive attitude, effective communication, technology, and analytical skills
• Competent in accounting principles and procedures Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field
• Five years of corporate accounting experience or similar in a manufacturing environment
• ERP expertise, with SAP preferred
• Professional accreditation – CPA, CMA, or CGMA
