Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients/ residents /clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. When assigned charge responsibilities, the Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership to Health Care Aides (HCAs), Unit Clerks, Licensed Practice Nurses (LPNs), and other Registered Nurses. The Registered Nurse fulfills professional accountabilities by practicing in alignment with the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics, the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) Practice Expectations, The College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) Practice Expectations and scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Care Professions Act (RHPA) and applicable regulations, as well as relevant provincial and federal legislation. The Registered Nurse practices in a manner consistent with, and actively supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Qualifications:
Active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurse of Manitoba, or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or eligible for active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM), or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training – as delineated in Interlake-Eastern RHA Employer Provided and Required Certifications Policy GA-11-P-050.
Successful completion of WRHA or CCMB Program Orientation required or successful completion within 6 weeks of employment
