Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to provide excellent customer service and ensure smooth operation of our station. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail and customer service skills in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and positive customer interactions.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles efficiently
Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and payment processing
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Perform basic merchandising tasks to keep the station tidy and well-stocked
Upsell products or services when appropriate to enhance customer experience
Maintain cleanliness of the station, including pumps, store area, and restrooms
Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during station operations
Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information or directing calls as needed
Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at shift end
Skills
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
Customer service-oriented with a friendly demeanor
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures
Ability to perform retail sales, upselling, and product demos effectively
Organizational skills to manage time efficiently during shifts
Time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Phone etiquette for professional interactions over the phone
Merchandising knowledge to maintain attractive product displays
Multilingual skills to assist diverse customer base (nice-to-have)
Technical sales experience or familiarity with product demonstrations (nice-to-have)
