Security Officer

Full job description
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, vehicles, and contractors.
Conduct routine patrols across the premises to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
Maintain logs of daily activities, incidents, visitor registers, and gate pass entries.
Check and verify ID cards, vehicle passes, and material gate passes.
Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations and escalate as necessary.
Assist in enforcing safety protocols, such as fire prevention, PPE compliance, and emergency evacuations.
Coordinate with local authorities or emergency services in case of serious incidents.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems and security control room equipment.
Support administrative tasks like issuance of security badges, lockdown procedures, and shift handovers.
Familiar with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and emergency protocols.
Physically fit with the ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Strong observational, communication, and reporting skills.
Ability to remain calm and act quickly in stressful or emergency situations.
Basic first aid and fire safety training.
Experience handling security tools and technology (radios, scanners, barriers, alarms).
