Secondary SST Teacher (Leave Vacancy)
Job Description
We’re seeking a dynamic Secondary SST Teacher to fill a leave vacancy and deliver high-impact social science instruction across grades 8–10 — with a focus on critical thinking, civic awareness, and historical analysis in alignment with CBSE curricula.
Role & Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics for Secondary classes (Grades 8–10).
Design assessments, projects, and formative evaluations to track student progress and adapt instruction for diverse learning styles.
Collaborate with department heads and peer educators to refine lesson plans, share best practices, and participate in academic reviews.
Provide timely feedback to students and parents, maintain accurate attendance and grade records, and contribute to school-wide co-curricular initiatives.
Uphold a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, ethical reasoning, and active citizenship.
Skills & Qualifications
BA/B.Ed or B.Sc/B.Ed or B.Com in Social Science (History/Geography/Civics/Economics)
CBSE curriculum experience (minimum 1–2 years teaching Secondary SST)
Proficiency in lesson planning, student assessment, and classroom management techniques
Fluency in English and Hindi (or regional medium of instruction)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues
Location: Kanakia International School - CBSE, Bhayandar
Timings: 6.45am to 2.15pm
Duration: 1-2 months
