Position: Seasonal Sales Associate

Ridley’s Cycle is seeking a motivated individual excited to guide customers in finding the products that best fit their cycling needs. You will be the customer’s guide on all things bikes, making recommendations, fostering relationships, and supporting customers on their bike journey. This candidate would demonstrate self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. We are building a team of professional salespeople who are passionate about cycling, personal growth, and delivering world-class customer experiences.

Description

The sales associate is responsible for creating exceptional customer experiences, fostering great relationships between themselves and customers and fellow coworkers. We want to train and coach you to provide best in class experiences. You will be working in a fast-paced environment while engaging in continuous learning and having a great time.

Primary Duties

1. Engage, guide and assist customers in a friendly, efficient manner while following Ridley’s sales process

2. Maintain store presentation and cleanliness.

3. Help your teammates complete daily merchandising and restocking, ensuring all products are represented on the Sales Floor

4. Assist in completing daily store maintenance checklists

5. Contribute ideas to improve the store’s offers, including stocking needs, emerging trends and customer requests

6. Actively participate in daily team huddle and debriefs

Experience/knowledge

· Minimum 1 year of experience working in Retail or in a Sales role

· Previous bike shop sales experience preferred, however, if you have connected experience with bicycles, we want to hear from you

· Passion for cycling and creating exceptional customer experiences

· Excellent verbal and communication skills

· Proficient in Word, Excel and email tools

· Performance-oriented and team-oriented individual who is willing to learn how to be a professional salesperson

Working conditions

· Walking, standing and moving bikes/products for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift 50 lbs (e-bikes)

· 2 - 5 days a week, 8-hour shift, weekends, 30 minutes unpaid lunch, and two paid 15 minutes break

Compensation

· $17-$22/hour starting wage with revision after probationary period.

· Eligible for a performance bonus

· 2 weeks paid vacation

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
