Alpha Star Shipping is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sea Freight Pricing Executive to join our back-office team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of pricing experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a preference for candidates with prior experience working in Dubai in the same industry and position.
Responsibilities:
Analyze market trends, carrier rates, and customer requirements to develop competitive pricing strategies for sea freight shipments.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate quotations to clients based on their shipping needs and requirements.
Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining service quality.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to understand customer needs and provide pricing support for business development activities.
Monitor pricing trends and market conditions to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
Maintain pricing databases and records, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Prepare pricing reports and analysis for management review and decision-making.
Stay updated on industry regulations, market dynamics, and competitive landscape related to sea freight pricing.
Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Uphold company policies and procedures while conducting pricing activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of pricing experience in the freight forwarding industry.
Strong understanding of sea freight pricing principles and practices.
Proficiency in pricing tools and software used in the logistics industry.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Prior experience working in Dubai in the same industry and position is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
