Job Summary
Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Works with engineering team to deliver automated tests that satisfy product automation requirements. Executes automated code and creates written summary test reports for team. Repair intermediate complexity broken automation scripts. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Core Responsibilities
• Grow as part of the CMP Assurance Test Team.
• Be passionate about promoting a test best practice culture
• Ensure test best practice, through continual improvements and adherence to standards.
• Play a critical role in delivering a quality product as part of a wider test team.
• Deliver effective and reusable test solutions with excellent reporting.
• Expand new and existing feature test coverage.
• Remain calm under pressure
Employees at all levels are expected to:
• Perform static testing for design or delivery artefacts
• Perform different levels of testing, e.g. Functional/ Regression/ Integration/End to End
• Work with BA’s, Development and Test Teams, ensuring full E2E functional test coverage
• Perform test triage using your skills and report findings
• Triage, log and manage defects.
• Understand the use of the different test environments.
• Understand how the main platform components link together
• Understand the test route through the environments to Production
• Design and script basic and complex tests
• Define Test Data requirements
• Plan work in discrete packages
• Estimate work
• Deliver work packages working on own
• Deliver work packages working as part of team
• Utilise domain knowledge
• Lead / contribute to post testing showcases / walkthroughs
