Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Science Lab Assistant to support the effective functioning of Science laboratories in a CBSE school. The candidate will be responsible for preparing laboratory equipment and materials, assisting teachers during practical sessions, maintaining laboratory records, ensuring safety standards, and managing laboratory inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare laboratories for practical classes as per the CBSE curriculum requirements.
Ensure all laboratory equipment, chemicals, specimens, and materials are available and in working condition.
Assist science teachers during practical demonstrations and laboratory sessions.
Guide students on the proper handling of laboratory equipment and materials.
Monitor stock levels and prepare requisitions for laboratory supplies.
Maintain records of laboratory usage, equipment maintenance, and chemical storage.
Ensure adherence to laboratory safety guidelines and CBSE norms.
Conduct routine checks of laboratory instruments and equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or related field).
Teaching certification as per CBSE norms.
Certification in laboratory safety or first aid will be an added advantage.
Experience
1 3 years of experience as a Lab Assistant in a school, college, or educational institution.
Knowledge of CBSE practical curriculum and laboratory requirements.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and school norms.
