The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

About the Role
Graceville State School is seeking a motivated and reliable Schools Officer who works well independently and as part of a team, and can adapt to the dynamic nature of a busy school environment. As a Schools Officer, you will work closely with our Business Manager to provide high-level facilities and grounds care for our school community.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting security and safety measures, including managing security systems and locking/unlocking buildings.
Maintaining school grounds, including gardening, lawn care, and outdoor sports facilities.
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards, including safe storage and handling of materials.
Coordinating repairs and maintenance of school facilities and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Pool chemical testing and maintaining.
About You
The following traits would be beneficial:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Ability to plan and manage daily, weekly, and seasonal tasks independently and collaboratively.
Experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or general maintenance tasks.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and procedures.
Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
