SCHOOL SECRETARY
J.C. Charyk Hanna School

This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. July 6th, 2026 as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement.
We are currently looking for a professional, skilled School Secretary who will be responsible for the day to day administrative and secretarial operations at J.C. Charyk Hanna School. You will provide support to the principal, staff, students and visitors to the office by managing office tasks, providing courteous assistance via telephone, email and mail and coordinate internal and external communications.
This is a part time (0.5 FTE) position to commence the first day of the 2026-2027 school year. You will be responsible for working 17.5 hours per week. A working schedule will be determined based on the needs of the school. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, managing documents, spreadsheets and databases. You will assist with copying, scanning, faxing, emailing and note-taking. You must be able to exhibit the associated skills to communicate with students and teachers in a meaningful and professional manner. You will be expected to present yourself as an organized and professional representative of the staff, both in person, on the telephone and through correspondence. Previous experience working within a fast-paced, team environment would be an asset.
