Schedulers Roles & Reponsibilities with key skills
Job Description
• Monitor retail outlets daily stock levels of petrol and diesel
• Plan replenishment schedules based on consumption trends
• Prevent stock-outs and excess inventory
• Analyze historical sales/usage data
• Adjust forecasts for:
• Seasonal demand (festivals, summer travel & etc.)
• Price changes
• Market or regional demand fluctuations
• Coordinate loading/delivery timelines with Retail Outlet, Loading Terminal and Transport Operations team.
• Plan tank truck dispatch schedules
• Ensure the right grade and quantity of fuel is delivered to each location
• Ensure scheduling complies with:
• Safety regulations (VRIP Guidelines)
• Company SOPs
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Reconcile physical stock vs system stock
• Prepare reports on:
• Inventory levels
• Losses or gains
• Key performance indicators
• Minimize:
• Emergency supply
• Demurrage and detention charges
• Support cost-efficient sourcing and distribution decisions
Act as a central link between:
• Loading Terminal
• Transport Operations Team
• Retail Outlet Team
• Communicate delays, shortages, or changes in schedule promptly
• Plan for:
• Supply disruptions
• Tank Truck breakdowns
• Sudden demand spikes
• Maintain emergency stock plans
• Execute rapid rescheduling when issues arise
Key Skills Required
• Strong planning and analytical skills
• Knowledge of fuel logistics & storage systems
• Understanding of inventory control principles
• Ability to work under time-critical conditions
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
