Job Description
The Sales Officer (SO) in SLI is the first line of contact for customers, acting as a financial advisor and relationship officer for existing and prospective bank customers.
SOs must engage with prospective and planned customers to offer group loans.
They are responsible for maintaining portfolio quality, ensuring timely repayments, and adhering to due diligence and compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
New Customer acquisition & retention:
Undertake surveys to identify potential areas (villages/wards) for SHG/JLG formation.
Collect participant profiles and form groups after orientation, creating baseline information.
Achieve core business productivity by adding NTB/NRTR customers as per plan and product mix (JLG/SHG).
Benchmark achievement of renewal numbers from the available renewal pool.
Collections:
Attend monthly call visits at SHG/JLG locations and complete reports.
Ensure set quality metrics for portfolio quality and collections.
Regularly collect EMIs from customers as per demand date.
Visit all not collected groups daily to ensure EMI recovery before the SI date.
Plan daily visits to delinquent groups (1-30 days) for resolution and regularization.
Ensure timely repayment from all customers; conduct immediate visits and engagement for delays/defaults.
Manage and service customers until taken over by other collection teams.
