Our resort is looking for an enthusiastic person with greatsales skills and a customer-focused approach to be our next sales manager.Youwill add passion and creativity to our sales team, as well as build astrategy to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls,on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. You will also be ableto increase sales by monitoring local market trends and competitor activity inorder to find and close business leads. We are searching for someone with atleast 2 years of hospitality sales expertise, as well as a love for meeting newpeople and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community
• Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share
• Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry trade shows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan
• Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing
• Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads
• Drive revenue by selling and contracting events that utilize the hotels 10,000 square feet of meeting space, customizing proposals to client needs, negotiating terms to maximize space and profitability.
• Ensure seamless event execution by creating comprehensive and accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), coordinating event logistics across departments, managing on-site servicing, and overseeing timely and accurate billing to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
• Prior experience working in the hospitality sector is required
• Stays organized and manage time well
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelors degree in business or a similar major is desired
• Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
• Prior hotel sales experience preferred
