As a Cashier in the FMCG industry, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. Your role involves handling cash and electronic payments, managing register operations, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for customers.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing: Accurately scan items, process payments, and handle cash and card transactions in accordance with store policies.
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve any issues related to transactions or product inquiries.
- Register Management: Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, handle returns and exchanges, and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Sales Support: Assist with bagging groceries or products, and provide support to customers with special requests or inquiries.
- Compliance: Follow all store policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and customer data protection.
• Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a cashier or retail role preferred.
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Skills:
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash registers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in busy or challenging situations.
