JOB PURPOSE
This is clinical, technical and coordination work responsible for providing operation and system support for the Laboratory Information System
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology
holding a practicing (non-temporary) license and in good standing with the New Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists
minimum of three (3) years’ related experience.
Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Ability to perform the duties of the position.
Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MLT COORDINATOR - LABORATORY INFORMATION SYSTEM
Support Laboratory Information System functionality on new or upgrade projects and liaise with related partners (internal/external).
Work with Information Systems and/or vendors to ensure proper interface.
Participate in the development and maintenance of Laboratory Information System procedures
Perform system modifications.
Manage security access for lab employees.
Ensure system audits are completed by laboratory divisions.
DATA RETRIEVAL AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Oversee day to day Laboratory Information System operations and related issues.
Lead investigation of Laboratory Information System issues.
Investigate and report all incidents.
Consult with other system owners.
Extract data from Laboratory Information System for stakeholders.
Gather information, mine data and prepare monthly/annual reports.
COLLABORATION
Collaborate with various managers and stakeholders for such purposes as:
Laboratory quality assurance; project planning; and procurement.
