Role Overview
This is a full-time Fashion Designer role at Roov. We are seeking a talented and creative Fashion Designer with a passion for designing new-age formal and party wear for both men and women. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of innovative design, market trend awareness, and functional fashion expertise to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Concept Development:
• Create modern, trend-driven, and functional office/formal wear and cocktail party wear collections for men and women.
• Translate market trends and customer insights into compelling design concepts.
• Innovate with materials, cuts, and patterns to achieve a balance of style, comfort, and professionalism.
Trend Research & Forecasting:
• Stay updated with global and local fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques.
• Analyze customer preferences and adapt designs to meet their needs.
Sketching & Prototyping:
• Produce detailed sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes for new designs.
• Collaborate with pattern makers and production teams to ensure design integrity.
Fabric & Material Selection:
• Identify high-quality, sustainable fabrics suitable for party/formal wear.
• Work with suppliers to source innovative and cost-effective materials.
Collaboration:
• Partner with marketing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure cohesive brand representation.
• Provide design inputs for photoshoots, campaigns, and promotional activities.
Quality Control:• Oversee the final garment production to ensure alignment with design specifications and brand quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in designing office/formal wear, party wear or related categories.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative designs, especially in office/formal wear.
• Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and pattern-making.
• Strong aesthetic sense with a focus on functionality and modern design.
• Team player with excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of sustainable fashion practices.
• Experience working in e-commerce or fast-paced retail environments.
• Understanding of Indian and global customer preferences in office wear.
