About the Role:
This position requires a seasoned quality engineer with expertise in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) and its integration with other systems. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong background in quality assurance and system integration.
Key Tasks:
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans for Oracle RMS and its integrated modules.
• Analyze functional requirements and technical documentation to determine test conditions and coverage.
• Verify end-to-end data flow between RMS and integrated systems such as POS, WMS, Finance, and Order Management.
• Dig into system and data issues by examining logs, database records, and middleware traces.
• Evaluate change requests and patch deployments from an impact perspective.
• Plan and coordinate SIT/UAT activities with business and technical stakeholders.
• Set up automated testing using suitable tools and technologies.
• Work collaboratively with various teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle RMS or related Oracle Retail modules.
• Deep understanding of RMS integration points and data flow between Oracle Retail suite components and external systems.
• Ability to craft SQL queries and validate backend information.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities across application, database, and middleware layers.
• Background in Agile/Scrum or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management software.
• Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with Oracle Retail Cloud (SaaS) or upgrade projects.
• Knowledge of retail operations such as item management, purchasing, invoicing, and inventory management.
• Basic knowledge of test automation frameworks is desirable.
