Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Store Associate to join our team. We sell everything from paper towels to power tools. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with product displays, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily store activities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a base knowledge of hardware.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering inquiries
Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and restocking shelves
Stock inventory efficiently and accurately, ensuring products are available for customers
Assist with store cleanliness, including organizing and cleaning display areas
Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional phone etiquette and communication skills
Participate in inventory counts and basic retail math to manage stock levels effectively
Skills
Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
Familiarity with hardware store operations is a plus but not mandatory
Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and team members
Able to lift up to 60 pounds
