Retail Shop Manager – Full Time (38 hours/week)
Location: Belconnen, ACT
Salary: $77,000 + Superannuation

Located within one of Canberra’s busiest shopping destinations, the store operates in a high-footfall retail environment with strong customer engagement and sales activity.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of the store, drive sales performance, and lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the day-to-day retail operations of the store
Ensure store presentation, merchandising, and visual displays meet brand standards
Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering, and manage inventory control
Drive sales growth through effective retail strategies and customer engagement
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, sales targets, and profit margins
Analyse sales trends and implement strategies to maximise revenue
Recruit, train, supervise, and roster retail staff
Lead, motivate, and develop team members to achieve KPIs
Ensure high levels of customer service and staff performance
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints professionally
Build strong customer relationships and maintain repeat business
Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety regulations
Maintain records of stock, sales, and staff performance
Implement company policies and procedures
Skills & Requirements
Minimum qualification of AQF Diploma level or higher is required or at least 3 years of relevant experience
Minimum 1 year of proven experience in retail management required
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong understanding of sales, merchandising, and inventory systems
