Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering questions to enhance their shopping experience
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking to maximize sales potential
Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, organizing backstock, and conducting regular inventory counts
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint
Support sales goals through upselling techniques and promoting store promotions or new products
Qualifications
Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math is highly desirable
Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for potential advancement opportunities
Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential for engaging with customers effectively
Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and standing for extended periods
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
