Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our clothing store team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers with their shopping needs, and contribute to a welcoming store environment. This role requires strong communication skills, sales experience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse customer base. The Retail Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through product knowledge, upselling, and merchandising efforts.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
Conduct product demos to educate customers about merchandise features and benefits
Upsell additional items and promote ongoing promotions to increase sales
Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking activities
Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing stockroom areas
Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly
Assist with phone inquiries, providing information about products and store policies with professional phone etiquette
Support supervising staff with training new team members when needed
Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting for shoppers
Experience
Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in clothing or grocery stores
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations
Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly desirable
Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus but not required
Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos will be beneficial
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Basic math skills for transactions and inventory management are necessary
