Job description
• Accurately dispense prescription medications to customers, ensuring correct dosages and instructions.
• Provide clear and professional advice to customers on the use of medications, potential side effects, drug interactions, and general health and wellness.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and ensure that they are complete, including verifying that prescriptions are filled according to the healthcare provider's instructions.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate levels of medications and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations, including the proper handling of controlled substances.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to prescriptions, insurance claims, and medication availability.
• Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and assistants, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy in their tasks.
