Retail Merchandising Manager
Job Description
• Accountable for category-specific planning activities on the following levels: -
• Annual / Long-term plans Identify, analyze, and interpret trends to prepare AOP (annual operating plan), assortment plans, and seasonal buys.
• Monthly / Short term plans Create and define processes around monthly target setting, inwards capacity allocation, reordering, stock shuffling.
• Deep data Analysis to drive Inventory / discounting optimization across the inventory portfolio to achieve revenue/ margin targets.
• Procurement decisions, trends, category analyses as per revenue generation and opportunity areas.
• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities; compare sales data of the particular category to company sales and provide action plans to reconcile deviations.
• On a weekly/monthly and quarterly basis, recap and report back on the sales and inventory results to plan, LY comparisons, and forecast in-season sales and inventory.
• Updated with trends in fashion, competition brands, and general retailing.
• Inventory Management; Preparing periodic Sales promises as per targets, inventory balances, increasing rotations, maximizing category profitability primarily through pricing strategies and also by negotiating rates or cost.
• Accurate Inventory allocation and product selection based on a combination of creative inputs, current inventory data, and past inventory data.
• Minimizing lead times, Prompt and cost-effective inter-branch transfers, ensuring timely vendor payments through efficient operational decision making.
• Strategic planning; having a vision for category or brand measured through parameters such as yearly revenue and profitability growth

• Analysis & Reporting
• Brand Margin achievements (Realisation & Profitability)
Desired Skills and Abilities:
• Good in Excel, analytics, Good Communication
Education & Experience Required:
• Min 5 years of experience in Retail Merchandising
• Post-graduation, Graduation degree in - Retail Merchandising, _Any Garment/Fashion courses
