Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Media Strategist to join our fast growing SaaS Startup. As a Retail Media Strategist, you will play a key role in consulting & acquiring new clients in the retail industry while also collaborating with existing clients to develop and implement effective strategies that optimize their media presence and drive business growth. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting market research, and building strong client relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a strong background in retail media and a proven track record of acquiring and serving clients in a consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the retail industry, targeting potential clients who could benefit from our retail media expertise.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor landscape, and client needs to inform business development strategies.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through effective lead generation and relationship-building efforts.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute targeted campaigns, presentations, and proposals to win new business.
• Conduct client discovery meetings, understand their unique challenges and objectives, and present tailored solutions that align with their needs.
• Develop and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and continuously identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive retail media strategies for clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in retail media to provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to clients.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand professional networks and promote our offerings.
• Monitor and track market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities and inform our product teams
Required Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in retail industry, digital advertising, or related fields, preferably in a strategy consultancy setting.
• Proven track record of acquiring new clients and successfully engaging with existing clients in the retail industry.
• In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and digital marketing platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools, marketing automation platforms, and digital advertising platforms.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver results in a sales-driven environment.
• Existing network and relationships in the retail industry, especially amongst the leadership is a huge plus.
